Knowledge introduction of hot melt adhesive coating machine

1.Hot melt adhesive coating machine: Apply a certain viscous liquid adhesive, coated on the substrate, usually contains the lamination part, a machine that can be laminating another substrate and the glued substrate.(It is a kind of polymer that does not need solvent, does not contain water, and is 100% solid and fusible. It is solid at room temperature. It becomes flowable and has a certain degree of heating and melting. )
2.Process advantages: no drying equipment is required, low energy consumption: no solvent (hot melt adhesive is 100% solid content), no pollution, and the operator will not be exposed to a large amount of formaldehyde due to cleaning the remaining glue. Compared with traditional solvent-based and water-soluble adhesives, it has enviable advantages, effectively solves the inherent disadvantages of traditional processes, and is an ideal production tool for the upgrading of the coating and composite industry.
3.The curing of solvent-based and water-based adhesives requires an oven (or the existing oven may need to be renovated), and takes up more plant space, while increasing the energy consumption of the factory; it will produce more waste water and sludge; The production and operation requirements are more stringent; the disadvantage of solvent glue is obvious, that is, it is very environmentally friendly (most of the solvents are harmful). Solvent-based adhesives have serious environmental pollution. With the improvement of people’s environmental awareness and the establishment and improvement of related laws, the application of solvent-based adhesives is declining at a certain rate every year. Water-based glue has disadvantages such as poor water resistance, poor electrical properties, long drying time, and high energy consumption. Its application is also decreasing at a certain rate every year. Hot-melt adhesives have the advantages of stable performance, high raw material utilization, fast production speed, high yield, small equipment footprint and small investment, etc., and have a tendency to gradually replace solvent-based adhesives.
4.Features of hot melt adhesive:
The main component of the hot melt adhesive, namely the basic resin is copolymerized with ethylene and vinyl acetate under high pressure, and then mixed with tackifier, viscosity regulator, antioxidant, etc. to make hot melt adhesive.
1) It is usually a solid at room temperature. When heated to a certain extent, it melts into a liquid. Once cooled below the melting point, it quickly becomes a solid.
2) It has fast curing, low pollution, strong adhesion, and the adhesive layer has a certain degree of flexibility, hardness and toughness.
3) The adhesive layer is applied to the adherend after cooling and solidification, and it can also be heated and melted.
4) It becomes an adhesive body and then adheres to the adherend, with a certain degree of re-adhesiveness.
5) When using, just heat and melt the hot melt adhesive into the required liquid state and apply it to the object to be adhered.
6) After pressing and bonding, the bonding and curing can be completed within a few seconds, and the degree of hardening and cooling and drying can be achieved within a few minutes.
7) Because the product itself is solid, it is convenient for packaging, transportation and storage.
8) Solvent-free, pollution-free, non-toxic type.
9) And the advantages of simple production process, high added value, high viscosity and strength, and fast speed are very popular.
10) Hot melt adhesive has stable performance, high utilization rate of raw materials, fast production speed and high yield.
11) The advantages of small equipment area and small investment.
